Castellano: Los Summer Suns de Kim Williams son uno de los más queridos combos de power pop que nos ha dado Australia. Después de la edición en 1996 de "Bedbugs", Williams, harto de la música pop y al final de una relación, decidió disolver el grupo. Formó entonces el dúo de sadcore "Bashful", y paralelamente inició la andadura de The White Swallows, un nuevo dúo inspirado en el garaje-rock de grupos como White Stripes. Más tarde, formó el dúo The Love Letters, con los que pudo volver a escribir canciones felices de amor. Alrededor de esta época comenzó a remasterizar las grabaciones de The Summer Suns y descubrió que podía hacer música como esa de nuevo. Williams trabajó en paralelo en dos repertorios para The Love Letters y The Summer Suns, con la idea de poder editar dos LP's con versiones diferentes de los mismos temas. Finalmente, y tras la disolución de Love Letters y de la última formación de Summer Suns, el LP de éstos últimos sigue en fase de materialización, parace que este es el momento adecuado para nueva música de The Summer Suns en la forma de este single de vinilo que publica Spring Records.

English: When the dust settled on The Summer Suns' "Bedbugs" CD in 1996 Kim Williams found himself sick of pop music and at the end of a relationship.  He worked his way through the grief cycle first with sadcore duo, Bashful, then with the angry garage rock of The White Swallows.  In forming folk boy/girl duo The Love Letters he found himself able to write happy heartfelt love songs once more.  Around this time he remastered The Summer Suns back catalogue, a task which began onerously but ended joyously with the idea that maybe he could make this kind of music again.  This led to the idea of a Love Letters album and a Summer Suns album with some of his new repertoire appearing on both albums albeit recorded in differing ways and styles.  With paths crossing and versions of songs piling up the projects were rationalised down to one and thus a new Summer Suns album was conceived, a notion impossible without the advent of The Love Letters.  The duo was amalgamated into the more famous band before ultimately dissolving as recordings went on and on.  While the new album remains a work in progress it is time for some new Summer Suns music to see the light of day as Spring Records release "For Her" and "Sand Between My Toes" on 7" vinyl.
